Professor of Chemical Engineering and researcher at the Instituto Universitario de Tecnología Cerámica-Agustín Escardino (IUTC) for more than 30 years. He is currently Director of the IUTC, sharing this activity with the management of R&D projects. He has been awarded 4 research sexennia and 1 technology transfer sexennium. It currently has an h-index of 26 and more than 1900 citations from over 1300 documents. He has published more than 130 articles in indexed journals and has presented around 180 communications at national and international conferences. He has conducted 35 research projects financed by public entities (6 of them international projects from different EU programs), and 90 projects financed by private companies, leading most of them. He has supervised 9 doctoral theses (4 of them with an international merit and 5 with an extraordinary doctorate award), he has been co-inventor in 12 patents

Línea/Campo de Investigación (Español/ Inglés): His research lines cover from raw materials to finished ceramic products, going through every one of the stages of ceramic processes, both traditional and advanced ceramics, always with a technological approach of applied research based on the principles of chemical engineering.
