Breve resumen del CV: Dr. José Manuel Moreno Maroto holds a PhD from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (2019), with Cum Laude distinction, International Doctorate mention and Extraordinary Doctorate Award. His main research line focuses on the development of sustainable construction materials (mainly lightweight aggregates, structural ceramics, concrete and geopolymers) from wastes and by-products. As a secondary line, he has investigated the plastic behavior of soils and clays, developing new methodologies and measurement parameters, as well as alternative classification systems for engineering purposes. Between 2015-2020, he has published about twenty JCR articles, mainly as first author in Q1 ranked-journals, having also four patent applications, one of them already granted. Likewise, he is co-author of fifteen communications presented in national and international congresses. He completed a research stay at the Laboratory of Mechanics and Materials for Civil Engineering (L2MGC) of the University of Cergy-Pontoise (France, 2017), as well as several research and teaching stays at the TEP-222 Group of Materials and Mining Engineering of the University of Jaén (Spain) since 2018, where he currently works as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Similarly, he worked at the Innovarcilla Foundation as Principal Investigator of a research project in 2020. Since 2015, he is a member of the Committees «D18 on Soil and Rock» and «C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates» of the ASTM International organization for the development of standards. Regarding awards and distinctions, he has been recognized with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2018-2019 of the UCLM mentioned above, as well as with the Award for the best Doctoral Thesis of the Spanish Ceramic and Glass Society – Ferro (2nd Edition, 2020) and the Young Researchers Award 2016 of the Spanish Clay Society. Since 2019, he is accredited by ANECA as Profesor Ayudante Doctor (Assistant Professor). Previously (2006-2014), he worked in private companies, mainly in the civil engineering, energy and environmental sectors. More details at: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6312-1075.
