Breve resumen del CV (Español/ Inglés):
Dr. Amorín is a CSIC Tenured Scientist at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM), since 2017. BSc in Physics at the University of Havana (Cuba, 1997), earned his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Aveiro (Portugal, 2005). Past positions include Postdoctoral Fellowships of the Spanish Juan de La Cierva (2007) and Ramon y Cajal (2009) Programmes.
His research interest focuses in the advanced processing of knowledge-based materials and the relationships between structure, microstructure and properties, with strong expertise in ferroelectrics, piezoelectrics, multiferroics and magnetoelectrics. His current research lines are magnetoelectric ceramic and polymeric composites, and novel piezoelectrics and multiferroics with morphotropic phase boundary (MPB), in ceramics and thin films, along with material nanostructuring.
He is co-author of more than 90 articles published in SCI journals (h-index = 18), 4 patents and over 120 research works presented at international conferences and congress, among which he has given 5 Invited and over 25 Oral talks. He has also directed 1 PhD and 5 MSc theses. Besides, he is Associate Editor of the Boletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio, since 2019, and actively participates in the CSIC postgraduate course Frontiers in Materials Science and the outreach activities organized by ICMM.
